Curriculum Integration - 25 Points


Goal:

Students learn strategies for using educational software and internet applets integrated into the curriculum as a way to differentiate instruction for all learners and ensure access to reading and writing. Students will explore models of technology integration.

"Social bookmarking is a way for users to store, organize, share and search of web pages. In a social bookmarking system, users save links to that they want to remember and/or share. These bookmarks are usually public, but depending on the service's features, may be saved privately, shared only with specific people or groups, shared only inside certain , or another combination of public and private. The allowed people can usually view these bookmarks chronologically, by category or tags, via a search engine, or even randomly."

4. Select a FREE web-based curriculum tool/activity to integrate in to a lesson plan (Choose from those provided in the resources above or find your own!)



5. Design/Use a lesson of your own - then infuse it with FREE technology using the UDL Lesson Builder Template as a guide.


Download the lesson plan template. Check wherever downloads go on your computer to find the file.


Open the file that you downloaded, then "Save As" yourlastnameCI.doc (Digital file submission etiquette)



6. Use the template to include the following details:

  • Learner Profile [2 points]
  • Lesson Overview [2 points];
  • Goals [2 points];
  • Methods [2 points];
  • Assessment [2 points];
  • Materials [2 points]; and
  • Consideration for Differentiated Instruction and UDL [2 points]
  • Project reflection discussion post [1 point]
